Michael Sydney Anthony O'Hara Jnr. was born in Kingston, Jamaica on the 29th September 1996 in the University Hospital, Kingston, to parents Kereen Williams and Sydney O'Hara.

At two years years old he attended the Smurf’s Kindergarden, at four he moved on to Foursquare Basic School, then at six he attended Half Way Tree Primary and finally Calabar High School where he made a name for himself as a student and athlete graduating in 2015.

Michael excelled in T&F from a young age.  In 2013 he won the IAAF World Youth Championship 200m and Medley relay titles in Donetsk.  Earlier that season he took the ISSA Boys and Girls High Schools titles in the 100m, 200m and 110mH and the Jamaican Youth titles in the 100m and 200m.  In 2014 he won bronze in the 200m and 4x100m at the IAAF World Junior T&F Championships in Eugene; won two golds in the Carifta Games 200m and 4x100m; won two golds in the Jamaican Junior T&F Championships in the 100m and 200m.  In 2015 he equalled his 2013 feat of winning the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships triple with 100m, 200m and 110mH victories.

In addition to his athletics career Michael is a good student and plans to do his degree in Business Management at the University of West Indies in Kingston.
